"What are you to me, grim pine-forested lands, Wilderness of the Carpathian Mountains
I may admire you, but I don't love you, And my thoughts don't wander in your valleys
Down on the plains, flat as the sea, There I feel at home, that's my world
My soul an eagle, freed from its prison When I see the never ending fields."
Sándor Petőfi: The Plains (excerption)

Dear Visitor!

By maintaining the Tours in the Hajdúság portal the Zöld Kör conservationist organization is out to reveal the natural values and sights of the settlements in the subregion of Hajdúböszörmény to the tourists attending here.

Though the Hajdúság is not sought after its aboveground natural gifts but after its subsurface medicinal hot water (which can be found in all three hajdú towns, not merely in Hajdúszoboszló), we still hope that we kindle your interest in becoming acquainted with the natural heritage presented here.

We recommend visiting numerous areas in the outskirts of Hajdúböszörmény, Hajdúnánás and Hajdúdorog (by bicycles, on foot or by off-road car), which are though scattered, yet can attract nature-lovers.
